Maritim Hotel Dresden is a first class hotel with 328 rooms. This unique hotel and congress centre is directly located in the historical city centre of Dresden, the Erlweinspeicher, a historical monument has been converted to this hotel.

It is just a few steps to Dresden's major points of interest, e.g. the Semper Opera House, the Zwinger and the Frauenkirche. The hotel is directly connected with the new International Congress Centre with maximum conference capacity of 4150 people. The hotel also features a large spa area with indoor pool, sauna, sun bed and fitness area covering 350sqm.

LOCATION

Maritim Hotel Dresden is directly located on the banks of the River Elbe between the Marienbruecke and the Federal Parliament of Saxony. The Erlweinspeicher (a historical monument) is being converted into a Maritim Hotel with direct accessibility to the new International Congress Centre. The Maritim Hotel Dresden is located near the major points of interest of Dresden, e.g the Zwinger, the Semper Opera House and the Frauenkirche.

Dresden grew rapidly in the decades following 1850. The industrial branches which have become typical for the city, such as precision engineering, optics, luxury foods (chocolate) and cigarettes, were established.

The hotel is very modern and has a lovely view of the river. Its a very plesant 5 minute walk from the centre of the oldtown which in summer is very busy with tourists from all over Europe.

This Hotel is a perfect place to stay. Stuff is very friendly, rooms are clean and large. You only need a 5 minutes walk on the riverside to the historical city (Semper Opera House, Zwinger, …).

Yes, the business about the elevator cards is true. Yes, it's also true that the rooms not facing the river go to a noisy street and an empty lot. However, the rooms are among the biggest I have ever seen, you could almost have a little ball in them. I found the staff very helpful and friendly (including porters), the location excellent (five minutes walk to the main attractions) and the breakfast buffet alone is enough to justify the price, I think. It is unbelievable; the only problem being that after this breakfast buffet, nothing less will ever feel good enough again! Only serious downside: smoking is permitted in the lobby and at least in part of the breakfast area and I AM JUST NOT READY TO ACCEPT THAT ANY LONGER.

I just returned from a 1 night stay in this hotel. Overall: great. The location is just great direct by the river and close to all major attracktions. Large underground garage. Stayed in room 317 which was very large for city hotels and with view over the river as well. Breakfast was great, also dinner in the evening was good value for money. Be aware, that the hotel just opened a couple of month before so everything is in good condition. Staff was (at least all I met) friendly and helpful.
